Holistic Art Therapists Association (HATA)
The Holistic Art Therapy Association (HATA) is a Sec(8) not-for-profit organisation for art therapy professionals who have successfully completed the 4year Art Loft Art Therapy training program.
Founded in 2018 Holistic Art Therapists Association (HATA) brings together practitioners of Anthroposophy inspired Art Therapy in India and is dedicated to the growth and development of the field.
HATA is a membership based organization of independent art therapists, trained in and practicing the Haushcka inspired Art Therapy technique; as taught by Leila Tayebaly in the The Art Loft intensive Art Therapy training program in Mumbai. This is a unique and specific technique different from Clinical Art Therapy and Expressive Arts Based Therapy. This is a deeper, more holistic approach that was originally developed by physicians to help with the healing process.
Set up by the first generation art therapists in India, HATA was founded to establish professional standards and ethical guidelines for the practitioners as well create a support network for them. It endeavours to maintain the highest quality of Art Therapy being offered via its members, through holding them to rigorous standards and investing in their continued training.
At its core HATA aims to bring the benefits of art therapy to a wider audience. The organization collaborates with other complimentary disciplines to share, develop and promote more holistic approaches to health and wellness. It aims to grow the nascent field of Art Therapy and get it the recognition it deserves by getting more people to paint, train and practice Art Therapy as it truly believes in the benefits it has to offer anyone who walks into an Art Therapy class.
